Orca and Saycode: what’s the difference?

Which one fits?
When Orca fits
- One developer wants to code fast with several agents
- You want an open-source tool running right on your own machine
When Saycode fits
- People across the company need to use and take over what was built
- AI costs and usage records need to be managed company-wide
- Company database access must be set per person, down to tables and columns
Already using Orca?
- 1
Developers run several agents in Orca to build features and push the code to a repository.
- 2
Use “Import a code repository” in Saycode to turn that repository into a project and deploy it to an internal URL.
- 3
Colleagues who are not developers can take over the same project and change it by asking, and the original owner reviews changes before they go into the original.
Frequently asked questions
Should we use Saycode instead of Orca?
They do different jobs. Orca speeds up developers’ coding, and Saycode turns what they build into company tools that are deployed, shared, and managed. If you already use Orca, you can use both.
Can both connect Claude Code and Codex subscriptions and APIs?
Yes. Orca also plugs in the subscriptions and API keys you already have. The difference is where costs show up: Orca shows the active account’s usage and an estimated cost on each person’s screen, while Saycode has the company manage costs in one place, with usage visible to admins.
Can we code in Saycode too?
Yes. Ask in the chat and an AI agent writes the code, which you check right next to it. Colleagues who are not developers can take over the same project and fix it.
